Biography

Viveka Linder, born 1918 in Stockholm, was a Swedish stage and screen actress and dancer. She studied acting for Julia Håkansson and Gösta Ekman along with her dance-classes. She made her screen debut in 1934 and her stage debut in 1937. Her ingenuous looks and appearance made her popular with the photographers. Viveka Linder performed at a large number of prominent theaters in leading roles. She appeared in 13 feature films from 1934 to 1951. In the 1950's she became a dance pedagogue. She was married three times. Viveka Linder died in Stockholm 1968, at the age of 49.
