- Abbey Lincoln was born on August 6, 1930 in Chicago, Illinois, USA. She was an actress and composer, known for Nothing But a Man (1964), For Love of Ivy (1968) and Drugstore Cowboy (1989). She was married to Max Roach. She died on August 14, 2010 in Manhattan, New York City, New York, USA.
