Biography

Torsten Lilliecrona was born on January 4, 1921 in Jönköping, Jönköpings län, Sweden. He was an actor, known for Life on Seacrow Island (1964), Den långa julmiddagen (1956) and Så går det till på Saltkråkan (1977). He was married to Gun Malmhed. He died on October 15, 1999 in Höganäs, Skåne län, Sweden.

He has said that playing the role as Melker in Saltkråkan partly destroyed his career. One time after Saltkråkan he played MacBeth at Göteborgs stadsteater (Theater of Gothenburg) and when he entered the stage the audience started laughing and shouting "there comes Melker!!".

His father was land-surveyor Florus Lilliecrona and his mother Gerda Christina Lundberg.

Father of Peter (b. 1954) and Magnus (b. 1961).

His hobby was cooking.
