- Wolfrid Lier was born on February 1, 1917 in Berlin, Germany. He was an actor, known for Trziste senzací (1985), The Great British Train Robbery (1966) and Eight Hours Don't Make a Day (1972). He was married to Marianne Brün. He died on December 14, 1993 in Munich, Bavaria, Germany.

- In 1953 he moved to the Bavarian State Theater, where he was again a member from 1959 to 1961. He worked primarily at the Munich Kammerspiele, where he remained until 1983.
- He first attracted attention as Sergeant Jaletzki in the first part "Das Tagebuch des Jürgen Wilms" of the early multi-part series "Am grünen Strand der Spree" (1960). In the following years, he mostly played small-time crooks, fraudsters or other shady and devious characters, and soon became the ideal cast in popular crime series.
