Biography

Tom Lewis was born on July 8, 1901 in North Troy, New York, USA. He was a producer and writer, known for Cause for Alarm! (1951), The Loretta Young Show (1953) and El ídolo (1952). He was married to Loretta Young. He died on May 20, 1988 in Ojai, California, USA.

He and new wife Loretta Young went on their honeymoon in Hawaii. On the last weekend of their trip, the newlyweds were the honored guests of Admiral Kidd aboard the battleship USS Arizona. Only a few months later, it would sink to the bottom of the ocean, with many hands onboard, in the attack on Pearl Harbor on Sunday, December 7, 1941.

Never formally adopted Loretta Young's daughter Judy even though she goes by the name Judy Lewis because he was never actually told that she was his wife's biological daughter.

Brother-in-law of Polly Ann Young, Sally Blane, half-brother-in-law of Georgiana Young, father of Christopher Lewis.

Because he was never told that Judy Lewis was his wife's biological daughter he speculated about whose daughter she was. In her book Uncommon Knowledge Judy wrote that according to her brother Chris (the son of Tom and Loretta) Tom at one point thought that she was the daughter of Loretta's sister Sally Blane.
