Biography

Ruth Lewis was born on November 29, 1915 in Harvey, Illinois, USA. She was an actress, known for The Last of Us (2023). She was married to Marty Lewis. She died on September 17, 2000 in Glendale, California, USA.

Opened a number of clothing stores in the 1960s.

In the 1950's, she began writing about Hollywood celebrities such as Marlon Brando and Howard Hughes in a column, "Ruth Lewis" for the Los Angeles Daily News. With others in the film industry, she helped launch the Thalians, a charitable group to aid mental health programs. She served on its board of directors along with Sammy Davis, Jr., Frank Sinatra and Gene Kelly.

Became a gossip columnist in the 1950s for the LA Daily News.
