Trivia

  • She shared a few scenes with Montgomery Clift in what was his last movie, The Defector (L'espion), which was filmed in and centered on her homeland, Germany. Her German-born co-stars were Hardy Kruger and Macha Méril.
  • Her stock-in-trade were glamorous temptresses and shady ladies in thrillers and horror films, though she ultimately became best known for her leading role as the smoldering, seductive Gypsy girl who compels a naïve small town policeman to do her bidding, in Radley Metzger's erotic drama Carmen, Baby.
  • Initially trained in hotel management, Uta developed an interest in film and began working at Bavaria Studios as a bit player in the early sixties. Discovered by Austrian actress Maria Schell, she was encouraged to take on further drama studies which led to more substantial acting parts.
