Biography

Félix-Antoine Leroux, better known as Dj Horg, is a Dj, music producer, rapper, actor, and videographer. As a child and teenager, Leroux was mainly known for his roles in Paul, Marie et les enfants (1985), Tadpole and the Whale (1988), and Watatatow (1990).

In the mid-1990s, he decided to withdraw from acting to become a hip-hop DJ and producer. With the pseudonym Dj Horg, he started his musical career by producing the album Karnageez N' Kombinn Lakaill (1997) by KZ Kombination. In Quebec, the album is viewed as a classic, and regionally it is the first full-length album in Haitian Creole.

Ever since he worked prolifically with hip-hop artists from Quebec. Nevertheless, it is his long-standing collaboration with rapper Samian that got him the most praise. Leroux produced Samian's first three albums Face à soi-même (2007), Face à la musique (2011), and Enfants de la terre (2014). At l'ADISQ (Quebec's galas to recognize achievements in the music industry), in the best hip-hop album category, the first and third albums were nominated, while the second one won.

Other notable works which he produced that were nominated at l'ADISQ are Un gars de même (2005) by Sir Pathétik, Et7era (2010) by Steve Jolin, Radiothérapie (2014) by Dramatik, and Grosso modo (2018) with his duo Seba et Horg.

Furthermore, Leroux composed the score for several documentaries and television shows which include Un trou dans le temps (2008), Les Sceaux D'Utrecht (2014), La ligne rouge (2016), L'effet secondaire (2020), etc.
