John R. Leonetti was born on July 4, 1956 in Los Angeles, California, USA. He is a cinematographer and director, known for Annabelle (2014), The Conjuring (2013) and Insidious: Chapter 2 (2013).

Often directs film follow-ups to a previous film where he served as director of photography.

Member of the American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) since 2003.

Brother of Matthew F. Leonetti.
