A graduate of Boston University and the American Film Institute, Fay worked for many years at both Merchant Ivory Productions in New York City and in the U.K., and at Paramount Pictures in Los Angeles. She has written, directed and produced both documentary and narrative films. Her last three narrative shorts all Oscar-qualified in the Live Action Short Film category.
