Biography

Valerie Lee was born on December 14, 1931 in Los Angeles, California, USA. She was an actress, known for Ye Olde Minstrels (1941), The 37th Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade (1963) and Mysteries of Oz: 85 Questions Answered (2024). She was married to Robert Ray Haynes. She died on April 12, 2026 in Reseda, California, USA.

One of a dozen youngsters hired mostly from the Bud Murray Dance School in L.A. to play Munchkin villagers in The Wizard of Oz (1939) and celebrated her seventh birthday on the MGM lot in Culver City.

After Hollywood, she attended L.A. City College, spent 25-plus years working for and managing the bookstore at Cal State Northridge.
