Biography

Karin Lee is an award-winning director, writer and producer who works in drama, non-fiction and web-series. For her work as a director she has been nominated and won a Gemini from the Canadian Academy of Film and Television Gemini and a BC Leo for the Diversity in Cultures Awards and won a Golden Sheath award from the Yorkton Film Festival and won Best Documentary awards from numerous international Film Festivals. Lee was also recognized as the 2014 Film and New Media Artist by the City of Vancouver Mayor's Arts Awards.

Karin's writer and director documentary credits include: Made in China - Children adopted from China in Canada (won a Gemini and the Canada Award from the Canadian Academy of Film and Television); Incorrigible - a film about Velma Demerson (winner for best documentary - research category at the Yorkton film festival, best director, best documentary, best original score, best special effects (animation), best editor) at the Hollywood North Awards) which is screening on Knowledge Network.
