- Georgette Leblanc was born on February 8, 1869 in Rouen, Seine-Inférieure [now Seine-Maritime], France. She was an actress and writer, known for L'inhumaine (1924) and Macbeth (1915). She was married to Maurice Maeterlinck. She died on October 28, 1941 in Le Cannet, Alpes-Maritimes, France.

- Opera singer, well known for her Carmen, she was part of the creation of L'Oiseau bleu by her husband Maurice Maeterlinck. The concert in L'Inhumaine happened and was filmed by hidden cameras at the théâtre des Champs-Élysées and partly used as element of the plot.
- In 1930, Leblanc published Souvenirs (1895-1918), an account of her liaison with Belgian writer Maurice Maeterlinck.
