Father of the famous Greek singer Vicky Leandros. Singer, composer, lyricist and producer of many German and Greek songs.

In the early 1950s, he left with his wife for Germany, pursuing his dream of a musical career.

He won Eurovision in 1972 as composer, representing Luxembourg. In fact, he had written many songs that became hits for his daughter Vicky Leandros, including "Après toi". With this song, sung by his daughter, he won the Eurovision song contest 1972.

His daughter, Vasiliki, stayed behind in Greece with her grandmother. She went to her parents in Germany in 1958, at the age of 8. Three years later, her parents divorced and she stayed with her father in Hamburg. When she was 13 years old, she told him that she wanted to become a singer herself. At first he discouraged her, but then he gave her vocal lessons. At the age of 16, Vicky Leandros released her first album.

Leandros left in the 1950s for Germany to pursue a career in singing and composing. He had some success, but shifted his focus to his daughter, Vicky, who had been singing from a very early age. He became her manager, composer and producer when she was 13 and took charge of her training and career.
