Jason Late

Jason Late hailed from Rutherford, New Jersey and got his big break when his round, boyish face got him cast in feature film Splash (1984) at age 9. Filling the role of young Freddie (John Candy's character), he and his mother were flown first class to the filming location in the Bahamas. Like most child actors, he also did commercials, appearing in ads for Commodore Computers, J.C. Penny, and Cracklin' Oat Bran cereal. He was also cast as Merlin Olson's son on the short-lived Fathers and Sons (1986) and appeared in Vice Versa (1988).
