Mini bio

  • Greg Lastrapes is a show biz lifer, having gotten his SAG & AFTRA cards by the time he was 12, and he has shared the stage with legends of Broadway and the music industry. He spent his 20s waist-deep in the Hollywood music scene with his eponymous band while making coffee, engineering and "borrowing" studio time in Los Angeles recording studios big and small. He has spent the last sixteen years as a first-call session singer and his voice has been heard internationally on jingles for Apple, Visa, IKEA, Coca-Cola, McDonalds, Mattel, Fiat, and countless others. He has also composed commercial jingles for Facebook, SkyTV and (for real) FEMA.

He has studied production design with Gene Allen (His Fair Lady, A Star Is Born), broadcasting with Michael Yarbrough (NBC), dance with George Reeder (Singin' in the Rain) and puppet building at Michael Earl's Puppet School. His short films have been featured at TIFF, Nashville Film Festival, San Antonio Film Festival & the Bend Film Festival.

In 2015, he started the boutique production company Bird+Goldfish to bring together his years of experience in filmmaking, music, design & audio production to create original content, as well producing bespoke commissioned promos for artists, actors and musicians. In 2019, he threw his hat into the sparsely populated world of podcasting by directing, show running and starring in the scripted musical screwball soap opera, Happy Show Fantastic.
