Harris Laskawy was born on February 12, 1943 in Bronx, New York City, New York, USA. He was an actor, known for The World According to Garp (1982), The Girl Next Door (2004) and The Glimmer Man (1996). He was married to Jennifer Reed. He died on July 4, 2010 in Valley Village, Los Angeles, California, USA.

Won an Obie award (1970-1971 Season) for "Distinguished Performance" as Uncle Vanya in a production at the CSC Repertory Theatre Co. (off-Broadway) in New York City.

Won Drama-Logue Critics Award (1979) for "Outstanding Achievement in Theatre: Performance" as Grumio in The Taming of the Shrew at the California Shakespearean Festival.
