Born in Venezuela and based in Miami, Mayedurimi Larotonda is a prolific writer, director, and show runner with over 29 years of experience in the audiovisual industry. Specializing in psychologically driven thrillers, suspense, and horror, she is known for creating high-concept narrative worlds that blend crime, mythic structures, and intense character studies.

As a versatile filmmaker, she has personally spearheaded all production stages, from executive oversight to final editing. Her current slate of feature films in development includes the psychological thriller "DOLL'S" (formerly "The Big Apple") and the ambitious historical drama "Rasputin". She is also a highly productive screenwriter with an extensive portfolio of unproduced scripts that explore complex thriller and sci-fi themes.

Her work in short films has gained international recognition, featuring titles such as "Chosen (Elegidas)" (2023), "The Pill" (2024), "Héroes", "Borders" (2025), "35mm" (2025), and "Emancipada" (2025). Beyond the screen, she is an accomplished author, having published the novel "Umbral" (Grupo Planeta, 2022).
