Bob Larbey was born on June 24, 1934 in Lambeth, London, England, UK. He was a writer, known for Please Sir! (1968), The Fenn Street Gang (1971) and Now and Then (1983). He was married to Patricia (Trish) Marshall. He died on March 31, 2014 in London, England, UK.

He met co-writer John Esmonde when they attended school in Clapham.
