Rafael Lanuza was born on October 24, 1933 in Guatemala City, Guatemala. He was a writer and producer, known for El triunfo de los campeones justicieros (1974), Terremoto en Guatemala (1978) and La mansión de las 7 momias (1977). He died on June 27, 1987 in Guatemala City, Guatemala.

Father of actress Carolina Lanuza.

Brother of actor & director Claudio Lanuza.
