- Miss America 1925.
- Was Miss California twice - in 1924 and 1925. Before that, she was Miss Alameda, though her home was Oakland.
- Worked for Paramount Pictures as a secretary in the 1930s.
- During her marriage to engineer/bookstore owner Winfield Daniels, second husband and former high school sweetheart, she lived in the Orinda neighborhood of Oakland, California.
- As Miss Alameda, Lanphier won Miss California and was 2nd Runner-Up at Miss America 1924, behind Ruth Augusta Malcolmson (Philadelphia) and Mary Katherine Campbell (returning Miss America from 1922-1923). Lanphier would return the following year and win Miss America.
- Had two daughters with her second husband Winfield J. Daniels, who passed away September 7, 1971.
