- She's the niece of Sir Hercules Langrishe, 7th Baronet.
- Was considered for the part of Dayna in Blake's 7 (1978) alongside Lindsay Duncan, Kirstie Pooley and Debbi Blythe. The part went to Josette Simon.
- Has one sister.
- Her father was a major in the military and her mother was the daughter of Royal Navy Lieutenant-Commander Kenneth Horley.
- Trained at the Elmhurst Ballet School, but after deciding that she could not become a soloist for the Royal Ballet, moved into acting.
- Hobbies include tennis, rowing, running and swimming.
- Her grandfather, Sir Terence Langrishe (1895–1973) was an Irish baronet.
