Mayra Langdon Riesman, born Mayra Phyllis Levy, was a pioneer in using the Internet as a site to write about the movies, with her 1994 Film Scouts founded on AOL.She used the posts as a space for reviews of festivals and interviews with performers, and sponsored the Internet premiere of Koyannisqatsi in 1999, a film that her husband Michael had conducted the score for.Her previous owner jobs Inc Included working for a German distribution business, selling designer clothing, acting with the Bread and Puppet theater group at Goddard College, where she had studied drama,and managing a Soho art gallery.
