Biography

Michael Lang was born on December 11, 1944 in Brooklyn, New York City, New York, USA. He was a producer, known for Bottle Rocket (1996), The Master and Margarita and Bottle Rocket (1993). He was married to Tamara Pajic and Jayne Ann Bell. He died on January 8, 2022 in Manhattan, New York City, New York, USA.

He co-created and co-organized the Woodstock (1970) with partners Artie Kornfeld ,John Roberts and Joel Rosenman.

Produced the first two Woodstock festivals with John Roberts, Joel Rosenman and Arthur Kornfield.

Has 5 children including identical twin girls, LariAnn Lang & Shala Lang.

Co-promoter of the Woodstock '99 festival.
