Biography

Eddie Lang was born on October 25, 1902 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. He was an actor, known for Sweet and Lowdown (1999), The Big Broadcast (1932) and Monstro! (2010). He died on March 26, 1933 in New York City, New York, USA.

Died while having surgery for a tonsillectomy. His boss, Bing Crosby, had urged him to get the operation (which he regretted all his life).

Jazz guitarist and singer

Inducted into the Big Band and Jazz Hall of Fame in 1986.

Considered the first great jazz guitarist. He was also a fine blues performer. He later was an accompanist for Bing Crosby.

He went by the name Blind Willie Dunn when performing blues.
