Biography

Lance W. Lanfear is a Producer, Line-Producer, and DGA Award-winning member of the Directors Guild of America. As an LP and DGA Unit Production Manager (UPM), Lance has overseen many successful productions on a variety of media platforms in multiple Emmy nominated genres. Recent credits include the critically acclaimed Netflix dark comedy THE VINCE STAPLES SHOW, Peabody nominated bilingual smash GENTEFIED, Donald Glover's surreal vision SWARM on Prime, and teen supernatural series LIGHT AS A FEATHER on Hulu. Lance took home the DGA Award (2022) for Apple's BEST FOOT FORWARD comedy in Children's Programs.

He received his degree from Claremont McKenna College (within the Claremont Colleges consortium), where he dual majored in Film Studies and Psychology. Lance has amassed twenty-five years of professional experience in all aspects of feature, television, and commercial production.

Known for staying levelheaded and calm when faced with challenges, Lance's strength is in his consistent, creative and budget-minded approach to each project's unique story and vision.

Lance resides in Burbank, California with his family. When he's not pushing to elevate a script to screen, you can usually find him coaching and playing baseball with his three young boys - Ben, Carter, & Dylan.
