Biography

Born Adele Cracciola, she was sometimes credited under the name Adele Thompson, before settling on her stage name Adele Lamont. Adele was an actress, dancer, and singer who appeared in TV shows, commercials, and Broadway productions. She was most notably featured in the B-movie "The Brain That Wouldn't Die," which has achieved widespread cult legacy.

She studied under Stella Adler at the Actors Studio in NY and starred opposite Robert Culp in the off-Broadway production of "He Who Gets Slapped." Her other notable Broadway shows she starred in included "Blood Wedding" and Cole Porter's "Out of This World." Adele was also a lead singer with the famous Xavier Cugat orchestra and was part of the adagio dance team of "Christian and Lamont," appearing in clubs throughout the country.

After retiring from show business, Lamont relocated to California and transitioned into a successful career as an award-winning real estate agent serving the Pacific Palisades and Malibu areas. She passed away on Thanksgiving Day in 2005 at the age of 74.
