Biography

Kit Lambert was born on May 11, 1935 in Westminster, London, England, UK. He was an assistant director and director, known for Tommy (1975), Backfire! (1995) and The Who at the London Coliseum 1969 (2009). He died on April 27, 1981 in Brent, London ,England, UK.

In late 1966 he and Christopher Stamp founded Track Record Records - better known simply as "Track Records".

Died of a brain hemorrhage incurred when he fell down the stairs at his mother's house.

Co-manager/producer of The Who.

Spoke fluent French and German.

Died two weeks before his 46th birthday. His father, composer and conductor Constant Lambert, died two days before his 46th birthday. Both men struggled with substance abuse in their shortened lives. They are buried together at Brompton Cemetery in London.
