Biography

I grew up longing to be a country bumpkin and I have always had farm girl's hands, which was a problem when I was modelling or on TV. I loved getting up at 3am and plaiting horses and driving to shows.

My father was in the Army and my mother had a very good eye for design, so every year we would move to a new house or flat - always in Kensington in London - which she would redecorate and then sell at a profit. But I dreamed of living in just one place.
