Biography

Tom Lacy was born on August 30, 1933 in New York City, New York, USA. He was an actor, known for The Royal Tenenbaums (2001), Doc Hollywood (1991) and Swashbuckler (1976). He died on July 16, 2020 in New York City, New York, USA.

He made guest appearances on both of the longest running prime time dramas in US television history: Gunsmoke (1955) and Law & Order (1990).

He was an associate artist of The Old Globe Theatre, and performing guest of the Williamstown Theatre Festival.

Veteran character actor well known for playing the title character of the now defunct restaurant eatery's "Beefsteak Charlie's" in their series of television commercials that aired during the 1980s.

Son of Patrick Lacy, and Julia McGrath Lacy.

Survived by his cousins, Kathleen Skinner, and Edmund Morrissey, and five nieces, and nephews, his parents preceded and two brothers, William, and Timothy, also preceded.
