- Along with comedians Sam Kinison, Bill Hicks, and Bob Barber, Labove was one of the original "Outlaws of Comedy".
- Was featured as a grinning redneck who accosts Jim Carrey at the bar in the film Ace Ventura: Pet Detective (1994). Although his scene was deleted in the theatrical version, the scene occasionally pops-up in the network TV cut.
