Elizza La Porta was born on March 1, 1902 in Craiova, Romania. She was an actress, known for The Student of Prague (1926), Engel im Séparée (1929) and Laster der Menschheit (1927). She died on November 15, 1997 in West Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, USA.

The actress Elizza la Porta began her brief film career in 1926 with the movies "Der Herr der Nacht" (1926) and "Die Sporkschen Jäger" (1926). In the same year she took part at Conrad Veidt's in the successful movie "Der Student von Prag" (1926) with which she became well-known for a wide public.

When the sound film arose she retired from the film business.
