- Selected after a nationwide talent search in 1981 to represent the United States in Holland in a show entitled "Dancing with Kings" to commemorate the 200 year peace pact between the US and Holland.
- Put his career on hiatus for one year to work with Mother Teresa of Calcutta and her Missionaries of Charity.
- He became very ill and vomited on his first day on the Knight Rider set. He could have easily been replaced. He pleaded with the director Bruce Kessler to let him rest claiming that the repetition of the line, "Let me outta this car, I'm going to be sick," had caused him to be convinced that he would be sick. He resumed after a small rest but the director warned him, "No more method acting.".
- He wrote an award-winning memoir entitled, "The Boy Behind the China Cabinet: A Memoir about Addiction, Hollywood, Mother Teresa and Me." It summarized Paul LaGreca's experiences growing up in an Italian-American family with a drug-addicted brother, his experiences in Hollywood, working with the poor, and the search for who he is and where he fits in.
