Biography

Filipe La Féria was born on May 17, 1945 in Serpa, Portugal. He is a writer and producer, known for Uma Noite em Casa de Amália (2012), Cabaret (1994) and A Importância de Ser Constante (2000).

Has a natural daughter named Catarina Alexandra de La Féria Valente y Orta.

Youngest of six children of Luís de La Féria de Assis e Orta, whose mother's both grandfathers were Spanish, great-grandson of a brother of the first Viscount of Orta Nobleman of New Coat of Arms of de Orta (timber) with crown of Viscount, Lord of the Manor and Homestead of a Abóboda and annexed ones and of the Homesteads of os Outeiros and Tagarrosa, of the House of os Palhas and of the House of o Rocio, in Aldeia Nova de São Bento, and wife Maria Janeiro Valente, Lady of the Homesteads of o Alto da Ferradura, Barreira Branca, Monte do Velho and Jarrões.

Commander of the Order of Prince Henry (10 June 1992), Grand-Officer of the Order of Merit (17 January 2006), Medal of Gold of the City of Lisbon (unknown date 2007).

Born in the Parish of Aldeia Nova de São Bento, today Vila Nova de São Bento.
