Biography

Bruce LaBruce was born on January 3, 1964 in Southampton, Ontario, Canada. He is a director and writer.

A contributor for exclaim! magazine and eye magazine.

Along with Ben Foster he co-wrote the original version of the Screeching Weasel song "I wanna be a Homosexual" as heard on the bands "Thank You Very Little" CD.

I've used distancing techniques to make the audience aware of the mechanics of filmmaking, no matter how flawed, and of their own viewership and voyeurism with regard to pornographic imagery.
