Biography

Pinar Kür was born in 1943 in Bursa, Turkey. She was a writer and actress, known for Hiçbir Gece (1989), Yarin Yarin (1987) and Asilacak Kadin (1986). She was married to Can Kolukısa. She died on July 15, 2025 in Istanbul, Turkey.

Awarded the honorary award within the scope of Ankara Story Days in May 2013.

Became an English teacher at Istanbul University School of Foreign Languages.

Her mother Ismet Kür was a teacher of Turkish language and literature, and her father Behram Kür was a French and mathematics teacher.

After completing her high school education at Robert College, she completed her undergraduate education at Queens College and Bogazici University.

She received her doctorate in comparative literature at Sorbonne University.
