Carmen-Renate Köper was born on 24 March 1927 in Dortmund, Germany. She was an actress, known for Tartuffe (1970), Das Lamm (1964) and Tatort (1970). She was married to Peter Eschberg. She died on 1 October 2024 in Frankfurt am Main, Hesse, Germany.

Trained for acting in Bochum. Theatre debut in 1948, prolific on stage in Düsseldorf, Frankfurt am Main, Cologne and Bonn. From 1986, worked as a TV screenwriter.
