Mini bio

  • Petros Kyriakos was a Greek actor, singer, and poet whose long career encompassed revue theater, operetta, and film. He made his stage debut in "Mam'zelle Nitouche" and went on to become a familiar presence in Greek musical theater, gaining widespread recognition for his portrayal of Karkaletsos in the popular operetta Oi apahides ton Athinon (1930). Over the following decades, he appeared in numerous revues and theatrical productions across Athens and Piraeus, becoming one of the enduring figures of Greek popular entertainment. In addition to his stage work, he appeared in film, including The Father Is Training (1953), and remained active before television audiences through variety programming. Beyond acting and singing, Kyriakos was also a poet, publishing collections such as "Ta tragoudia tis Athinas" and "Kouventes me ton Theo". He was respected within the theatrical community, serving on the board of the Greek Actors' Association, and his contributions to Greek performing arts earned him official recognition from the city of Athens.
