For more than four decades Robert Kurtzman has been an icon in the world of special make-up, creature effects, and genre filmmaking. His award-winning, photo-realistic effects work can be seen in hundreds of movies including Hollywood's biggest blockbusters, franchises and television series. His work includes classic horrors films Evil Dead II, Scream (1, 2 &3), Nightmare on Elm Street: Dream Warrior, Halloween 5 and Jason Goes to Hell.
After establishing himself in the special effects arena, Kurtzman turned to directing and producing. His first project was From Dusk till Dawn, for which he wrote the original story, served as co-producer, and created the special effects.
The Demolitionist marked Kurtzman's directorial debut. He went on to direct Wishmaster, The Rage, Buried Alive and Deadly Impact.
Robert's vast career also includes recent works on Gerald's Game, The Haunting of Hill House, The Goldberg's Halloween Special featuring Robert Englund as Freddy Krueger, Doctor Sleep, The Curse and Scary Movie (6).
Robert continues to live and work at his private studio in his hometown with his partner Marcy and their cats Buffy & Angel.
