- Dieter Kursawe was born on November 3, 1934 in Berlin, Germany. He was an actor and director, known for The Bird with the Crystal Plumage (1970), The Silence of the Lambs (1991) and The Fox and the Hound (1981). He died on March 18, 1996 in Berlin, Germany.
- One of his last roles was in the first episode of the series Alarm für Cobra 11 - Die Autobahnpolizei as the prison director, which was broadcast six days before his death.
- From 1965 onwards, Kursawe also took on roles in film and television. He also played in comedies, ambitious television films, children's and youth programs, cinema productions such as Andrzej Wajda's Eine Liebe in Deutschland, Michael Verhoeven's Killing Cars (with Jürgen Prochnow and William Conrad), and numerous television series.
- He was extensively involved in dubbing, often lending his nasal and lisping voice to cartoon characters such as Daffy Duck or William Dalton (Lucky Luke).
