He was a set decorator and producer, known for 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (1954), Mary Poppins (1964) and The War of the Worlds (1953). He was married to Carrie Kuri. He died on October 10, 2000 in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, California, USA.
