Streaming Stars, Then and Now

Prem Kumar was born to James Samuel and Jayakumari in Kazhakoottam, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. He was known mainly for his comedy roles during the 1990s. He started his acting career with television, and has appeared in feature films, telefilms, and soap operas. He was part of 'Oru Poovu Viriyunnu', one of the earliest TV series in Malayalam. He was a part of some of the evergreen TV series in Doordarshan. He won the Kerala State Television Award in 1990 for Lambo, a telefilm aired on Doordarshan Malayalam channel. In 2022 he was appointed as vice-chairman of Kerala State Chalachitra Academy.

Malayalam film artist . He is also famous as Tele Film and Serial
actor. He has acted in more than 90 films and in 18 of them as the
hero. He holds BTA Degree with First Rank and Gold Medal from Calicut
University.
