He was one of South Africa's most renowned photojournalists and documentary photographers.
Was also a photographer who captured some of the most memorable and disturbing images during South Africa's oppressive Apartheid years.
At the time of his death, he was running a photography school in Soweto for poor youths. He also has a photographic museum where his work is portrayed.
