Max Kruse is the son of the artist and sculptor Max Kruse from Berlin (14th April 1854 - 26th October 1942) and the world famous doll maker Käthe Kruse from Dambrau (17th September 1883 - 19th July 1968), known as the &quot;doll mother&quot; (Puppenmutter).
