Joseph A. Kramm was born on 30 September 1907 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. He was a writer and actor, known for The Shrike (1955), Out There (1951) and Jeudi-théâtre (1962). He was married to Janet Chandler and Isabel Bonner. He died on 8 May 1992 in Far Rockaway, New York, USA.

Won the 1952 Pulitzer Prize for Drama for the play &quot;The Shrike&quot;.

His wife, Isabel Bonner, died on stage while performing in his Pulitzer Prize winning play, &quot;The Shrike&quot;, in Los Angeles, California in 1955.
