- The only child of writer H.S. Kraft, at age 19 Jill Kraft wed Louis Morheim on August 27, 1950; the couple divorced several years later. She remarried, to Leonard Hyman, with whom she had a daughter, Lucy (born 1967). Kraft and Hyman remained together until Kraft's death from cancer in 1970 at age 39.
