- George Kourounis is a Canadian explorer, adventurer and popular TV host who specializes in documenting extreme forces of nature & natural disasters worldwide. He chases tornadoes & hurricanes, descends into active volcanoes, and is an expert that is frequently called upon by production companies and news agencies to provide on-camera commentary about the natural world. He holds the title of "Explorer In Residence" for the Royal Canadian Geographical Society, is a fellow of The Explorers Club in New York & the Royal Geographical Society in London. He holds a Guinness World Record for becoming the first person to ever set foot at the bottom of the flaming "Doorway To Hell" gas crater at Darvaza, Turkmenistan.
