Hassan Koubba

Overview

  • Born
    March 1, 1973 · Thionville, Moselle, France

Biography

  • Predestined to become an ornithologist, Hassan Koubba completely changed his professional choice when he saw René Clair's film La Beauté du diable. It was at this precise moment that he decided to become an actor, Hassan then set up in 1989 with friends from his hillside district in Mulhouse a troupe that they would call "Les Coriaces". They will do some services in Alsace and then separate a year later. But Hassan does not resign himself and follows and gives theater lessons in an MJC in Mulhouse. In 1993, he attended the screening of Malik Chibane's film Hexagone, Hassan recognized himself through the features of one of the characters in the film, which motivated him all the more; he must make it his job. Against the advice of his family and encouraged by the ostracism of the young people of his city (his nickname was Jean de Florette) he went to Paris to try to break into his vocation. Finally, he was noticed in 1995 in Zone Franche, a film by Paul Vecchiali, and since then he has played roles in cinema and television. From 2005 to 2010, Hassan Koubba played a police lieutenant (Micky), one of the recurring characters in a TF1 television series Diane, female cop alongside Laurent Gamelon and Isabel Otero. In 2013, he made an appearance in Les Garçons and Guillaume, à table! by Guillaume Gallienne. Hassan plays the aide-de-camp of President François Hollande (Patrick Braoudé), in Clint Eastwood's film Le 3:17 p.m. for Paris, retracing the story of Alek Skarlatos, Spencer Stone and Anthony Sadler, the three American soldiers who mastered the terrorist of thalys 9364 on August 21, 2015.
