Biography

Boris Konunov was born on May 24, 1947 in Tashkent, Uzbek SSR, USSR [now Uzbekistan]. He was a director and writer, known for Zapadnya (1990), God khoroshego rebyonka (1991) and Kto voydyot v posledniy vagon (1987). He died on August 7, 2026.

Professor at the Academy of Music, Theatre and Fine Arts.

Graduated from the Faculty of Cinematography of the Moscow State Institute of Cinematography.

Worked for several years at the "Moldova-film" studio, as assistant director, assistant director and director.

Member of the Management Board of the National Center of Cinematography until 2021, contributing to the development and promotion of the cinematographic sector in the Republic of Moldova.
