Biography

Şener Kökkaya was born on June 30, 1943 in Antalya, Turkey. He was an actor, known for Vizontele (2001), Magic Carpet Ride (2005) and Son Aga (2008). He died on July 20, 2024 in Adana, Turkey.

Sener Kökkaya, taught acting at the Denizli Municipality Conservatory for 2 years, and worked at the Adana State Theatre.

The artist, who worked as a director and actor at the Ankara Art House for three years, settled in Izmir in 1986 due to health reasons and founded the Izmir Art Theatre.

Sener Kökkaya was a Turkish theatre, cinema and television series actor. He was also a stage manager and director .

Kökkaya, who started his art life in 1957 with amateur theater in Eskisehir, but dropped out of Eskisehir Economic and Commercial Sciences Academy in his sophomore year.

He became known to a wide audience in the "5 Dakika" program broadcast before the news hour on TRT in the 1970s and presented with Savas Yurttas .
